Abby and Molly hung out for a bit and played - which was more like poking at each other. It was then that Joe and I noticed that Abby all of a sudden mastered sitting all by herself! And when I say "all of a sudden" I mean she wasn't doing it that morning at her pictures! Just goes to show how fast they grow and how much they learn and change in just a blink of an eye.
That evening Grandpa B treated us all to a yummy dinner. While at the restaurant, Abby amazed us yet again. Since she wasn't in her carrier that weekend due to her new car seat, she got to sit in a 'big girl' highchair for the first time! I remember looking at her sitting in the highchair all by herself and trying to hold back tears -- by little baby was no longer a baby. She no longer needs my help to sit and play. And now that I sit here and write this, I realize I never got a picture...
The next morning we got up and headed for the Zoo. It was Abby's second trip to the Zoo in a matter of two weeks but she got to see a few new animals at least! We finished the afternoon with a family picnic in the park before starting our road trip back home.
The weekend turned out great. It was short but at Abby's age, sometimes that's not a bad thing!
