Labor Day Weekend

Warning = another post with a TON of pictures!

As usual we spent Labor Day weekend camping.  This year we changed up the location and went to O'Neil Creek Campground in Chippewa Falls, WI.

The weekend was cool (I'm not complaining!) but we had a blast.  We had a great time with family and our close friends.  Since I have a lot of pictures in this post I will keep the text to a minimum.

To sum it up, the weekend consisted of;
Great company
Grilling
TWO huge campfires
Bike rides
Stroller rides
Family time in the camper
Cuddling with Abby around the fire
Train ride through the campground
Playgrounds
Smores
Deep fried venison, french fries and pizza rolls (hey, I never said we eat healthy)
Bean-Bags
Washer Toss
Catching up
Gossip
Picking out house furnishings (my cousin is doing a full remodel right now!)
Relaxing

And now for the pictures!

Hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend!

The Great Minnesota Get Together

Usually I dread this time of year.  That time of year = the Minnesota State Fair.

Joe loves it and would go every day if he could.  Me on the other hand, well - it's hot, it's crowded, it's dirty, smelly, poop everywhere (from the animals) and lastly food that smells so good but makes you sick and guilty after you eat it.  But I force myself to go because like I said, Joe loves it.

Well this year was different.  Maybe it was the fact that we went in the morning so the crowd wasn't as bad and it was cool and a tiny bit rainy but mostly it was because Abby was with.

This year, I loved it.

I loved watching her eyes light up when we saw all the bright lights, heard the loud music and how she got so excited every time she reached for an animal to pet.

My favorite - watching Joe and Abby LOVE everything about the fair TOGETHER.  They enjoyed it, and I enjoyed watching them enjoy it.

Here's the proof;

She waved at EVERYONE and EVERYTHING

First taste of chocolate milkshake - (I know, bad mom & dad)

Out for a two hour nap!

Up in time for the parade!

Grandpa B - check out my new ride!

and this one too!

If that's not proof enough - we went again!  This time Aunt Chelsey was with!  (Sorry Chels, we must not have taken any pictures with you...next time!)

So tired...

Grandpa E - she's ready and waiting for one of her own! ;-)

Oh dear....

Feeding the chickens - and gathering eggs

Practicing to help out on the Bjelland farm(s)

Time to head home...

See you next year!
